Cigar Review: Carlos Torano Noventa Santiago

The Carlos Torano Noventa cigar was produced in 2006 as a celebration of the 90th anniversary of the company which started in 1916.

The Anatomy of the cigar consists of
Filler: Nicaragua (Pueblo Nuevo, Esteli, Jalapa, and Condega)
Binder: Habano Nicaragua
Wrapper: Habano Nicaragua

Vitola:  This is a 50 by 5" Robusto with the company shape name of Santiago

Appearance: This cigar a light brown wrapper in color and reflects light softly revealing its oiliness.

Construction: oily with a slight tooth and a bit of sponginess in the pack.

Prelight: The prelight aroma of this cigar gives of an excellent tobacco smell with a hint of wood.

First Third: The first third of this stick is fairly good with light flavors of nut and a slight spice. Notably it has a very sweet smelling aroma.

Second Third: At the half way point of this cigar I thought it had a bit of a spice and creme taste to it.

Final Third: The final tastes of this cigar were predominately spice with small hints of liquorice.

Overall: This cigar is a mild to medium smoke that would be a great after dinner stick. It has a slight sweetness hidden in tastes of nut and spice and produces minimal smoke.

Score: 7/10
