Cigar Review: Camacho Triple Maduro

Exiled from Cuba in 1961, Simon Camacho went to Miami and started his own brand of cigar. His cigars were mutually enjoyed all over the U.S. and worldwide, one of his biggest fans happened to be one Winston Churchill. The brand was aquired by the Eiora family in 1995 and now is part of the Davidoff group.

The Anatomy of the cigar consists of
Filler: Maduro (Brazil, Honduras, and Dominican Republic)
Binder: Original Corojo Maduro
Wrapper: San Andres Maduro

Vitola: This uniquely shaped Figurado comes in at 6 inches and a 54 ring gauge.

Appearance: The cigar is very dark, almost black, with a light oily sheen on the wrapper and it's veins are just barely visible.

Construction: Beautifully rolled with a good even pack and has an oily yet toothy tecture.

Prelight: The prelight aroma gives of a spicy yet sweet chocolaty scent

First Third: Right off the bat, this cigar is full in body with quite a bit of spice and earth with a hint of chocolate.

Second Third: Definitely a full body, as expected, with an oily smooth draw and with tastes of spice and earth.

Final Third: The last bit of this cigar ends with lots of earth as well as hints of spice and leather.

Overall: This is simply a great and powerful stick. It is uniquely a full blooded Maduro, I would call it The Puro Maduro and is packed with dark flavors and full bodied strength. Above all, this cigar is just purely relaxing. I would definitely enjoy another one of these after a long day and a good meal.

Rating: 9.5/10
